In 2007 Nubia Filmworks produced a feature-length, "faith-based" romantic comedy entitled "Too Saved". Distributed world-wide by Maverick Entertainment Group, Inc., Too Saved is the recipient of the prestigious Dove "Family Approved" Seal (4-Star Rating) and is the winner of several "Best Film" awards at various U.S and International film festivals. Too Saved has aired numerous times on the Cornerstone Television Network and is available in WalMart, and various other retail outlets nationwide.
Nubia Filmworks' most recent film is a feature length dramatic "thriller" entitled "Nocturnal Agony". Distributed by Maverick Entertainment Group, Inc. in 2014, Nocturnal Agony stars veteran Hollywood actors Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs, Vernee' Watson, Rae'Ven Larrymore Kelly and Grammy award winning gospel recording artist Hezekiah Walker. The critically acclaimed film is the winner of several awards including the prestigious 2014 TIVA-DC Bronze Peer Award (for Independent Feature), the 26th Annual Larry Neal Writer’s Award, and the 14th Annual Fade-In Awards Screenplay Competition (quarter-finalist). Nocturnal Agony is one of the highest rated films on Amazon Prime (4-Star Rating) and is also available on Hulu, and in WalMart, RedBox and various other retail outlets nationwide.
Additional Nubia Filmworks productions include "Straight Up Go Go", a one-hour documentary film on the history, culture, and sociology of Washington D.C's world renowned "Go-Go" music. Straight Up Go Go was distributed internationally by ATA Trading Corp. and has aired numerous times on PBS television.

Nubia Filmworks is proud to announce that we are currently producing a new feature-length documentary film entitled "The Game That Changed College Basketball". The film revisits the historic 1974 ACC Championship game between NC State University and the University of Maryland and examines its ultimate impact on the NCAA Tournament and the game of college basketball. The film features a list of participants that reads like a virtual "Who's Who" of college basketball including legendary University of Maryland Basketball Coach Charles "Lefty" Driesell (Basketball Hall of Fame), University of Maryland basketball legends John Lucas, Len Elmore, Tom McMillen, Maurice "Moe" Howard, Tom Roy, and Billy Hahn, NC State legends David Thompson, Tom Burleson, and Monty Towe, acclaimed Washington Post Columnist and "best selling" author John Feinstein, and legendary sportscaster Billy Packer. The Game That Changed College Basketball is scheduled to be released in 2019 and will air on the CBS Sports Network.
